Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Policy

Please note that we are required by state and federal law to report any SUSPECTED cases of child abuse/neglect to the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services - Child Protective Services and/or local authorities (including the Paris Police Department or the Lamar County Sheriff's Department)

We are further required to provide access to your chid's records to Child Protective Services (CPS) and/or a court of law upon request with or without your permission. These are state and federal regulations, which must be adhered to without exception. Depending on the circumstances and administrative guidance, you may or may not be contacted regarding referrals to CPS or local authorities. The safety of the child in any situation is the deciding factor in all cases.
